
It was initially suggested by Jim Donohue of Donohue Design. He knew I loved African art and felt this font captured that love. Jim did all of my branding as far as design, including the website you are currently reading.
Over the years my logo has proven a great icebreaker with clients and colleagues I have met and worked with. I tell them the story of when I was picking up my business cards. The employee who helped me said “Dude, that’s a really cool design. My friend just got a tattoo like that!”.
I took it as a compliment and figured at the very least, his friend was spreading the word about my business!
About the font itself
Dave's Raves was created by David Sagorski, a Kansas-born designer. Sagorski draws his inspiration from an eclectic range of sources, including vintage clip art, Aztec figures, children's illustrations, and the styles and motifs used by Miro, Picasso and Van Gogh.
